Scrum Meeting Template FAQ
What are Scrum Meetings?
Scrum meetings can be any of the four types of meetings involved in the Scrum process. This can mean sprint planning meetings, daily standups, sprint reviews or sprint retrospectives.
But they can also just be general meetings to keep your team up to date throughout the Scrum process, involving questions on workflow, progress and future goals.
Why should I use this template in my scrum meetings?
Using a tool like ScrumGenius to take care of your Scrum process takes out the manual work for you, allowing you to focus on their insights and better your workflow and productivity. Furthermore, those insights give you crucial data on your team's targets, allowing you to identify blockers and breakdowns in productivity.

Automated meeting reports also give you all the answers in a summary email and allow you to spend less time on meetings through automated reporting.
What questions should I ask in my scrum meetings?
Our recommended scrum meeting template has three questions:
What have you been working on this week? What have you completed?
What do you plan on working on next? What are your goals?
Did you encounter any blockers? If so, how did you overcome them?
By asking your team these questions about progress, blockers and goals, you are gathering unique insights that can help you improve productivity and cross-functional collaboration.
How do I effectively answer the report?
Make sure that you're aware of your own responsibilities and answer based on those. You also want to include key information on your progress and mention any issues or blockers that come up in your work.
How do I receive the best answers?
Send the reports at an appropriate time weekly (e.g. Thursdays, early afternoon) to give your team enough time to finish the report. You don't want your members to rush through the answers.
You can also set up report reminders, which will notify non-respondents to complete the report template in case they forget. Finally, hold an overview meeting before you implement ScrumGenius to discuss when people should get the report and who needs to fill out the report weekly.
Can I customise the questions and schedule?
ScrumGenius is completely customizable, so you can tailor our scrum meeting reports to your needs easily. Managers will be able to choose what questions they ask, when the report is sent out, and who the report summary is sent to.
